Ok, so some of you out there might know that Koreans don't always get things completely right when it comes to English... or as I have heard, Engrish. Well, I thought today, since I had the day off from work for Labor Day, that I would go around town and take some pictures of the signs showing the not-quite-right. Some of these signs might be obvious, others may just be humorous to me... I don't know.
Now, I have been to hotels before, but even I have never heard of monthly and daily "ates". Anyone know what those are? Bags... here in Korea there are stores that sell bags everywhere. They sell all kinds of bags, but most places simply call themselves "Such-and-Such Bag Store". never have I seen a place so open about their product. If it weren't for the bags outside I wouldn't know what they were selling. Here's another bag store (see? I told you they were all over). This one at least calls itself a bag store, but their inventory must be quite small... they have "all kinds of bag", but if they had bags they might get more business. I think this shop owner believes in daily affirmations. Of course keeping his door closed won't help business any. Now, I have been around this great big world for almost 35 years now... I was taught proper English. And as long as I've been around apostrophes have always gone at the top of the word. Have I been doing it wrong all along? Final picture of the day... I don't know about you, but when I went on my honeymoon, flags and guidons were not what I was shopping for.Well, I hope you all enjoyed these pictures. I had a lot of fun going around taking them. Of course I had a bunch of Korean folks watching me and wondering just what this crazy American was up to. Oh well. There are a few otherpictures that I wanted to get, but wasn't able to get a good fix on them today. Maybe another day.

My Soundtrack
Ok, it's been a long time since an update has found its way onto this blog. No excuses, I've just been busy and haven't done it. Well, here is one to appease the masses.
My wife recently added some music to her blog to represent the current "theme song" of her life. I thought I would do the same here. So now there is some music on here, each song representing either something about me or my current situation. I hope you enjoy.
